Akib Zaman has been accepted as a fully-funded Ph.D. student at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the upcoming Fall of 2023. His exceptional talent and dedication have rightly earned him a place in the MIT EECS Department and the esteemed Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL – MIT).

He graduated from the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐂𝐒𝐄-𝟏𝟕) department of Military Institute of Science and Technology (𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗧). He passed his 𝐇𝐒𝐂 and 𝐒𝐒𝐂 from Jhenidah Cadet College.

He has worked as a 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫 of the 𝐂𝐒𝐄 Department of 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗨𝗜𝗨) since June 2021. His brilliant guidelines and extraordinary leaders have made the UIU Mars Rover Team Champion (1st Position holder) among the Asian teams in University Rover Challenge (𝗨𝗥𝗖) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯.

Since his joining UIU as a Faculty Member of the CSE department, UIU Mars Rovar Team & UIU Robotics Club have successfully secured places in the International Mars Rovar Challenge. This year, 104 teams from 15 different countries participated in the international competition, with the final round taking place at the Mars Desert Research Station in Hanksville, Utah, USA from June 1 – June 3, 2023.

Being the 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 and the 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 of the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2023 winning team Akib Zaman Says,

According to him, the team hopes this accomplishment will inspire future generations of students to pursue careers in STEM.
