Dr. Ripon Saha (KUCSE 03) has joined Meta (Facebook) Headquarters as a Research Scientist in California, USA.
Meta is one of the world’s most valuable companies that run Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp, and Instagram, each of which has billions of users.
It is considered one of the big five American high-tech companies, alongside Google, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft.
He was a student of CSE 03 batch of Khulna University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2007 and received the President’s Gold Medal.
He was a lecturer in the CSE Discipline at Khulna University from 2008 to 2009.
He completed his M.Sc. in 2011 from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and his Ph.D. in 2016 from The University of Texas at Austin.
His research interests include explainable AI, AutoML, and AI-driven Software Engineering.
He authored over 20 publications in top peer-reviewed IEEE and ACM conferences such as ICSE, FSE, and ASE in the field of automatic synthesis of ML pipelines for supervised learning tasks (AutoML), fuzz testing for DNNs, and AI-based automatic bug localization and patch generation.
His research papers achieved more than 1600 citations. He also holds 20 patents including 8 already granted.
He has served as a program committee member of several top-tier software engineering conferences such as ASE-2021, 2020, 2019, and MSR-2022 and a reviewer of leading journals such as IEEE TSE and ACM TOSEM.
